On Thursday 26th April The University of South Wales delivered yet another invaluable ‘Spectroscopy in a suitcase’ workshop, this time for our year 13 Chemistry students. Dr Kean and her PhD students ensured that pupils were up to speed with the concept and application of ‘Advanced Spectroscopy’. Following an interactive revision seminar and a hands-on experience of the instrumentation used in industry, pupils were engrossed in applying their problem solving skills in a ‘compound identification’ challenge.  This was the most worthwhile experience for our pupils in preparation for their examinations.
