Year 12 students enjoyed a three day field trip from 18th-20th October in order to complete their AS Geography field studies. Dale Fort provides an ideal base for exploring the spectacular scenery of The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. All students worked so hard and were complimented by the centre staff and other visiting staff.
Year 12 also completed an enquiry into Tenby’s sense of identity and place and how this is formed and varies from person to person. They all worked so hard in the wet and wild conditions!
These studies were followed up in the class room and results processed, displayed and analysed. These enquiries have greatly enhanced everyone’s understanding of how research can be used to support and develop our understanding of geographical theories and will form part of their examination next May.
